Red River, the classic 1948 Howard Hawks Texas romantic family relationship cattle drive cowboy western starring John Wayne and Montgomery Clift. It was intended to be Montgomery Clift's first movie, but this delay caused it to be released after "The Search", making it his second movie. Also, Clift and Wayne had very differing political views, and did not take to each other at all, but that likely helped the movie, since their characters were at odds with each other through almost the entire movie. | |
